Sesinin g\u00fcc\u00fcyle tan\u0131nan sanat\u00e7\u0131 L\u00fcbnan m\u00fczik tarihinde bir \u00fcstat bir ikon haline gelmi\u015ftir. 1930\u2019lu y\u0131llarda Beyrut\u2019a ta\u015f\u0131nan sanat\u00e7\u0131 Mukhles okulu Katolik manast\u0131r\u0131na girdi, koronun ilk vokalisti olmu\u015ftu. Wadih El Safi, babas\u0131na destek olma ad\u0131na okulunu b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015f ve m\u00fczik hayat\u0131na y\u00f6nelmi\u015ftir. \u0130lk sanatsal \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131 1938\u2019de L\u00fcbnan, Frans\u0131z himayesindeyken \u201cYa Mursal Al Nagham Al Hunun\u201d \u015fark\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 L\u00fcbnan radyosunda s\u00f6ylemi\u015f ve bu alanda birincili\u011fe lay\u0131k g\u00f6rm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcr. Sesinin safl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 meyvesini alan Wadih Orta Do\u011fu radyosuna kat\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve sanat\u00e7\u0131 kimli\u011fini olu\u015fturmu\u015ftu. \u015eair Asaad Al-Sabal\u0131, 1940\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llarda Wadeh Al Safi\u2019nin m\u00fcziklerine y\u00f6n vermi\u015f ve konu olmu\u015ftur. Bu g\u00fcl\u00fcmseyen ses, k\u0131sa s\u00fcrede evrenselle\u015fmi\u015f ve ikon haline gelmi\u015ftir. 1944 y\u0131l\u0131nda M\u0131s\u0131r\u2019a ziyaretinden sonra kendi m\u00fczik ekibiyle Brezilya\u2019ya gitmi\u015f, d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fte \u00fcnlendi\u011fi \u201cAlluma\u201d \u015fark\u0131s\u0131n\u0131 piyasaya s\u00fcrm\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc. Bir\u00e7ok sanat\u00e7\u0131yla ortak \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma halinde olan sanat\u00e7\u0131 bu d\u00f6nemde hem L\u00fcbnan hem de Orta Do\u011fu m\u00fczi\u011finde duayen isim olmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131ndan sonra 1978\u2018de \u0130ngiltere\u2019ye giden sanat\u00e7\u0131 asla vatan sevgisinden \u00f6d\u00fcn vermeyip, b\u00fct\u00fcn m\u00fczik ve eserlerinde sevdi\u011fi \u00fclkesi L\u00fcbnan\u2019\u0131 konu edinmi\u015ftir. G\u00fclen sesiyle vatan sevgisini b\u00fct\u00fcnle\u015ftirmi\u015ftir. Orta Do\u011fu\u2019da bir\u00e7ok sanat\u00e7\u0131 yeti\u015fmesine \u0131\u015f\u0131k vermi\u015ftir. M\u00fczik konusunda hocal\u0131k yapm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Fayrouz ve Sabah Fakhri gibi isimlere \u00f6rnek olmu\u015ftur. M\u00fcziklerinden \u00e7ok tebess\u00fcm\u00fc ve g\u00fclen y\u00fcz\u00fcyle arabesk m\u00fczi\u011finde de tarihe ad\u0131n\u0131 yazd\u0131rm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. 90\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llarda televizyon yar\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131 yak\u0131ndan takip etmi\u015f ve konuk olarak naif sesiyle e\u015flik etmi\u015ftir. 11 Ekim 2013 tarihinde kalp rahats\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131 nedeniyle Orta Do\u011fu, g\u00fclen sesini en ba\u015fta m\u00fczik hocas\u0131n\u0131 kaybetmi\u015fti. B\u00fcy\u00fck bir kitleyi derin h\u00fczne sokan bu \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn ard\u0131ndan tatl\u0131 tebess\u00fcm ve naif sesli m\u00fczikleri kalm\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u2026 Kalp rahats\u0131zl\u0131\u011f\u0131na ra\u011fmen&nbsp; o g\u00fclen sesinin susmas\u0131na izin vermemi\u015fti. A\u00e7\u0131k kalp ameliyat\u0131na ra\u011fmen sanat\u0131na ve m\u00fcziklerine devam etmi\u015f ve Ortado\u011fu da h\u0131zl\u0131 \u00fcn kazanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131. 1980\u2019li sava\u015f\u0131n ac\u0131 tahribatlar\u0131n\u0131 konu edinmi\u015f ve k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck \u00e7ocuklar \u00fczerinde ki etkilerini m\u00fcziklerinde yer vermi\u015ftir. Bu alan da bir\u00e7ok \u00fclke taraf\u0131ndan \u00f6d\u00fcle lay\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc. 2007 y\u0131l\u0131n da Umman Sultan\u0131, Wadih Al Safi\u2019ye&nbsp; onur ni\u015fan\u0131 \u00f6d\u00fcl\u00fcn\u00fc vermi\u015ftir.
